Selected employees will be invovled in the particular orientation. Some info will be presented to the new comers such as:
• Location.

• Facilities.

• Comfort.

• Equipment.

• Timing.

Below is an effective training program administrator's steps :

• Define the organizational objectives.

• Determine the needs of the training program.

• Define training goals.

• Develop training methods.

• Decide whom to train.

• Decide who should do the training.

• Administer the training.

• Evaluate the training program.

Steps are useful to make sure new employees keep on the organizational track and enjoy the working environment.

Evaluation of Training

Training should be evaluated several times during the process. Determine these milestones when you develop the training. Employees should be evaluated by comparing their newly acquired skills with the skills defined by the goals of the training program. Any discrepancies should be noted and adjustments made to the training program to enable it to meet specified goals.

Dont be scared to state "my English is fluent"

Amyza  is one of the victim for "fluent English". Each time to fill up job application form, Amyza kept on hesitate to write fluent in spoken and written English instead put fair to play safe (unfortunately employer prefer those who fluent, as fair doesnt good enough to take the responsible).

How to make my English fluent?

From survey, to make urself fluent is to read an English book, start with simple book first such children book stuff, comics then go for newpapers. There a lot of great English book from local and even overseas. After u upgrade, try on novels like Twilight, Harry Potter and more. True story's novel is the most attractive books for Amyza.

Talk to people with simple words when u go for a walk. In grocery store, in a bus, on a train and everywhere. Ignore people who irritated looking at ur talking English all the time. Just use simple greeting each time and dont be scare of ur grammar mistakes. Amyza faced it couple time, but talking English doesnt not make us forget our own language. We value added ourself, and remember that.

Buy CD and listen to English radios. Good for ur pronunciation.  A lot of books on tape or CD  to improve ur English. Plan to listen to these as u drive ur car, or if you are at home doing household tasks and the most common publisher is Grolier. Daily exercise in Internet could help u improve English for free.

OJT GET THE MOST HIGHLIGHT

On-the-job training (OJT) method is the conventional ways of training delivery. One of the best training methods because it is planned, organized, and conducted at the employee's worksite.Sample from various management level and graduates trainess also voted the same. OJT will generally be the primary method used for broadening employee skills and increasing productivity.

Amyza wonder if the were any specific period to conduct such training? Or it depend on learning preferences?

Job Interview Q and A: What Are Your Responsibilities as a Teacher?

Responsibilities are not easy when a teachers act as facilitators and transator for encouraging intellectual and social development in the formative years of a students life. A preschool teacher plays a pivotal role in child development whether in term of  physicalogy, spiritual, emotion and intelectual until they grown older and although, the role of a preschool, high school and a college teacher may differ to meet specific age and subject criteria, it cannot be debated that the duties and responsibilities of a teacher will always remain the same.
I specify 4 kind of teacher responsibilities internal and externally,

1) Among themselves
  • To be a teacher out of choice
  • To acquire relevant professional education skill and training to get the right concepts of teaching.
  • Honesty and sincerity towards the profession.
2) Toward students
  • Be one good example to the students.
  • Prepare long-term teaching programs and daily lessons in accordance with the guidelines of the school's education system.
  • Provide interactive teaching activities and understand the actual usage of technology as teaching materials.
  • Encourage informal method of teaching; debates, discussions, practical activities, experiments, projects and excursions.
  • Avoid favoritisms.
  • more on next day...:)

Job Interview Q and A: How would u be able to attend students various behavior in a class?

ANSWER FOR NON-EDUCATIONAL FIELD ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

** amyza busy gathering info for junior educator

While doing sales, i prepared myself for objections and various customers responsed which sometimes can make me irritated. But as i gained more experienced and solved a lot of such situations in different ways, i believed it would be no problem to face my future students behaviours, i must stay assertive from the beginning of the class by giving them the simple procedures but valuable before attending the class. But dont too leghthen as they will ignore most of it. As a transator, i must giving a positive example to students in term of dicipline, way of behave, external appearance and self confidence.Certain periods of time are needed to make sure im able to recognise what are the disruptive behaviours among students. Keep them busy with assigments and projects. Of course try not to make the class dull, bring something attractive and generate more interest, such pictures, puzzles and videos. So im exactly positive that i be a vluble team member in the organisation.

Job interview Q and A: What influenced you to choose this career?

ANSWER FOR NON EDUCATIONAL FIELD ACADEMIC BACKGROUND APPLICANT
My past experiences have shown me that I've enjoy facing and overcoming the challenge of making a sale. Without a doubt, once I have practiced my presentation and prepared myself for objections, I feel very confident approaching people I don't know and convincing them that they need my product. I believed from pure field business knowledge, there will be no more memorizing terms and symbols. In my future class, I wanted my students to allocate the theory to reality world, so they able to see and understand depth and give critical opinion. This is how they able to value themselves as unique and excellent differ from others.  Also encourage them to practice  the knowledge by their own example what I’ve done during my study. Freelance small business open my eyes the strength and weaknesses of my skills and easy to me understand more in my class session.

Job Interview Q and A: What Are Your Goals for the Future?

ANSWER FOR NON EDUCATIONAL FIELD ACADEMIC BACKGROUND APPLICANT
The best way to respond to the interview question "What are your goals for the future?" or "Where do you see yourself in five years?" is to refer to the position and the company you are interviewing with.
Don't discuss your goals for returning to school or having a family, they are not relevant and could knock you out of contention for the job. Rather, you want to connect your answer to the job you are applying for. Examples of good responses include:
Ø  My long-term goals involve growing with a company where I can continue to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute as much of value as I can.
Ø  I even see myself as a top performing employee in a well-established organization, like this one. I plan on enhancing my skills and continuing my involvement in (related) professional associations.
Ø  Once I gain additional experience, I would like to move on from a pure business field to educational although it is 2 differ profession but I believe I able to connect most related skills such as leadership within organization, motivation, self-confidence and of course interpersonal. From here I able not just to educate them in term of result-oriented but supervised them to be a better person.

BEFORE STEPPING WITHIN UR DREAM JOB!! U MUST PREPARE FOR THESE!!

10 MISTAKES THAT U USUALLY MAKE WHILE THINKING ABOUT HANDLING UR RESUME AND CV
1. You only focus on the big comapny of the world.
Guys, do not focus on most popular companies, ready to give consider on small companies too. Companies that continually grab headlines and are highly recognizable can be exciting places to work. But so are many companies you've never heard of. Keep in mind that organizations that are household names often receive thousands of résumés for each opening. Consider exploring opportunities with small and midsize companies. . But don't give up the good fight, but also keep your eyes and ears open to other opportunities.
2. You don't follow directions.
Each company has a different procedure it asks applicants to follow for submitting employment applications. specify the very specific on ur cover letter and resume abt urself. Some love the conventional way in handling resume but some really techno-savvy (email). Make sure you understand what the prospective employer seeks by carefully reading the job listing. Then, follow the directions to the letter. If you don't, your application may never reach the hiring manager.
3. You need to revamp your resume.
Guys!! dont sending out the same cover letter and resume to all companies isn't likely to capture the attention of prospective employers. Again be specific, hiring managers want to know why you're a good match for their specific business needs. Do more research employers and customize your job search materials by explaining why you're interested in a particular position and how you could make a contribution to the company.
4. Your cover letter isn't enticing.
Think of your cover letter as an appetizer that convinces the hiring manager your resume, the main course, is worth sampling. The best cover letters take select details from the resume and expand upon them, explaining in depth how your talents and experience can benefit the prospective employer.
5. You don't reference keywords.
Companies that receive a high volume of resume often use scanning software that looks for certain keywords to determine which candidates to call for interviews. More often than not, keywords come directly from the job description. Terms such as "Microsoft Office," "accounts payable and receivable" and "Cisco Certified Network Administrator" are examples. As much as possible, ensure your resume and cover letter contain keywords.
6. Your application materials aren't perfect.
Grammar mistakes are dangerous and a waste!. Submitting an application that contains typos and grammatical goofs is perhaps the quickest way to foil your chances of securing an interview. The reason: These types of mistakes show a lack of professionalism and attention to detail. Make sure to carefully proofread your resume prior to submitting it and ask a friend or family member to do the same. o matter how good ur skills are, but u may felt to this trap if u dont go to details.
7. You don't know who to send your resume to.
This a bit difficult and most of us do the same mistake. Though it's fine to start your cover letter with the generic salutation "To Whom It May Concern," hiring managers pay special attention to applications that are addressed directly to them. If the job advertisement doesn't include the hiring manager's name, call the company and speak to the receptionist or a member of the person's department. More often than not, you can obtain the information fairly easily if you're candid about your reason for wanting it.
8. You don't have an 'in' with the company.
Using the name of a common contact to make the connection between you and the hiring manager is by far the best way to ensure your cover letter and resume get optimal attention. So, keep in touch with members of your professional network; you never know who has a contact at the company you hope to work for.
9. You don't follow up.
One way to improve the odds a hiring manager gives consideration to your resume is to follow up with him or her. According to a survey by our company, job seekers should contact a hiring manager within two weeks of sending a resume and cover letter. Often a brief phone call or e-mail reasserting your interest in the position and strong qualifications is enough. At least 2 weeks after sending the resume.
10. You're not as qualified as you think.
The bottom line may be that you're simply not as perfect for the job as you think. Before submitting your resume, take a close look at the job description and compare your skills and experience with those required for the position. If a job calls for five years of retail management experience, and you have only two, you might not be as qualified as other applicants. While sometimes it's possible to make up for skills gaps if you excel in other areas, hiring managers frequently have specific criteria in mind, and they use it to determine whom they call for interviews. No matter how strong your skills or experience are, you won't land a new job without first securing an interview with a prospective employer. Job seekers often consider this step of the hiring process the most difficult -- and perplexing.
Think abt it people!!

DO YOU KNOW, TRAINEES PICKED ON JOB TRAINING AND COACHING AS THE MOST FREQUENT USE, EFFECTIVE AND RELATED TO OBJECTIVES?

Suprisingly, most trainees voted for combination of methods training  (modern and conventional) OJT and coaching!!. Differ with overseas trend in UK for eg. they love to self learning, but our Malaysian need people to guide in doing tasks. Maybe our trainees not independent enough to do they own, or they need more time before deeply understand the actual tasks.

INDISPENSABLE PLAN: GRADUATES EMPLOYABILITY MANAGEMENT SCHEMES (GEMS) TRAINING IN MALAYSIAN CONTEXT

This is life long learning (thisis3l) discussing on various training topics that enhance with transformation of better human capital for the nation. As for its 1st moves, thisis3l will focus on latest management training for graduates as the number unemployed being rose highly lately. In this context editor focus to Graduate Employability Management Schemes (GEMS) just started on 2009 to recent day. People are invited to give critical ideas and comment towrads topics.
¢A nation‘s competitiveness depends on agreed extent on the quality of its human resources. The productivity of its workforce, the ability to learn and relearn and acquire new skills and competencies also the commitment to excellence will enhance to nation’s competitiveness.
¢Comparing attitude and perception will guide the trainer to focus on what needed to be done in a future training scheme (Sandra, 2003).

¢A lot of studies around the globe for perceiving the trend on graduate training scheme such Perception and Comparison voluntary and mandatory pre-employment government training (Sandra, 2003), Graduate training development: current trends and issues (Helen & Sue, 2008), Graduate Transition at work (Holden & Hamblett, 2007) and graduate entry concerns (CIPD, 2006; Elias and Purcell, 2005; HESA, 2007) but still lack research in Malaysia scenario.

¢Large numbers of relationship between training and organizational outcomes, there appears to be gap, concerning the study of employee perceived training effectiveness with the respect to training method use. Given 50% of all employees’ skills will become outdated within 3-5 years (Moe & Blodgen, 2000).
¢Effective management training is critical to organisation survival (Christian & Carter, 2002)
¢Today’s graduate have different learning styles and preferences (Helen & Sue, 2008)

¢Hayman and Lorman argue that graduates in such recruitment scheme have demonstrate better career progressions than direct entry graduates (Hayman & Lorman, 2003).
¢Numbers of previous studies have attempted to accomplish these task serious inadequacies, such as inconsistent definitions of training and “rough” methods of training classification and measurement and doubt on their findings (Tung, 2001).

¢But the study on related perception on graduate training is still lacking in Malaysian context. It is possible to have graduate training scheme as an indispensable plan for future employability as the existence seems to be necessary indeed.
¢Thus, the study will focuses graduate’s (trainee) perception on GEMS training in Malaysian context. Mostly on methods applied, and more recent topics regards to GEMS in my blog list archives.
